(Mother of Jolene Tan – Y2013 Nursery, Janine Tan – Y2012 K2 graduate)

We became a part of CPK when my older girl, Janine, joined her Nursery class in Y2010. Janine enjoyed every day of her school life there and never "dreaded" going to school. She always came back with stories about the school, teachers, friends and activities done in the kindergarten. Through the dedicated teachers, she has learnt more about the Bible as the CPK indulge them with Bible stories once a week. CPK also has a systematic way of teaching them Numeracy, Language & Literacy and pre-writing skills which eventually become very helpful for her as she enters Primary 1. In addition, CPK provides enrichment classes for children after school, whereby the children can have the option to learn more in addition to their usual curriculum. With all these, I am glad to say that Janine was well equipped socially and academically as she graduated and transited to primary school.

As a parent, I'm indeed happy and of course, enrolled her sister, Jolene, into the same school to be handled by the experienced teachers that have once taught her older sister. The teachers are responsible and update the parents via the communication notebook, which helps us to know what is going on inside the classroom. The principal, Mrs Ang, is hands-on too as she handles the children on a personal basis and remembers each child's name / behaviour. This has indeed given them a sense of belonging in CPK. I'm also all for the home learning system where the children bring back activity sheets every weekend to reinforce what they have learn in class. This helps prepare them to avoid any culture shock when they transits to primary school. Having said the above, I will definitely recommend friends / relatives to CPK.
